Dr. Lo and his staff want to make your trip to our Philadelphia or New Jersey offices, for male breast reduction surgery, a pleasant one. With this in mind, Dr. Lo’s staff will help you as we have all the resources you will need, such as a driver service and hotel. Many of our patients come from long distances, therefore, we offer Online Virtual Consultation for those who cannot make it to our offices. This would start with you first emailing your contact information and photos of the front and side views of your chest to [email protected]. Dr. Lo can then provide you with an accurate assessment of your condition and will email you back his opinion. Dr. Lo will offer Online Virtual Consultation to the patient, to further look at and discuss options and having the surgery done.
During your phone consultation, Dr. Lo will go over the benefits, drawbacks and risks of male breast reduction surgery with you. Dr. Lo or a member of his staff will then email a price quote to you. He can also provide before-and-after photos of previous patients for your review. Once you have decided that you would like to proceed with gynecomastia correction surgery, you can call the office to schedule a date for surgery. In preparation for the procedure, a patient coordinator from Dr. Lo’s office will send you a complete information package that contains preoperative and postoperative instructions. Dr. Lo typically requires patients to be seen one day prior to the procedure. You should plan to stay in the area for about one week following male breast reduction surgery for the initial recovery period. After five to seven days, you can return home. Dr. Lo and his staff will stay in touch via email, and will request that you periodically send in photographs of your chest so they can monitor your progress. Notes for travel: Make sure you pack lightly, so you avoid a strenuous trip home. You will need a responsible adult to stay with you the first night following surgery.
